Many training programs are available online and can be accessed from the links under each program. You will need to create an account with BSA National, and will need your "BSA ID," which is the number on your ID card, if you are registered. If you are not a registered adult, you can still sign up and take training.

Youth Protection Training
This is a required course for ALL adults and leaders who participate in Troop 540 activities! This course is designed to introduce current thinking and to increase your knowledge for recognition of signs of physical or sexual abuse in youth. The course is also designed to enable you to handle information quickly on the youth’s behalf. Available as online training from the BSA website.
This is Scouting
This is a required course for all Scoutmasters and Asst Scoutmasters and other leaders. The program is designed to introduce the new leader to the myriad of BSA programs. Through presentation and group workshop the new leader will understand the progressive nature of Scouting as youth understanding and interests change with age. Fast Start: Boy Scouting
Fast Start Training remains essentially unchanged. It continues to provide an immediate comfort level for new leaders and enables them to say, "I can do this!" Fast Start training is the first step for any new volunteer and is to be delivered immediately after a new leader registers and before he or she meets with any youth member. Available as online training.
